In a quiet coastal cottage, two retired nuclear physicists Hazel and Robin are living a simple life: yoga, salads, farming. Close by, their old workplace; a destroyed nuclear power station fills the air and water with radiation. Then one evening an old colleague drops by unannounced, bringing with her the realities of a world changed by nuclear disaster, and cracking the eggshell walls of fragile delusion.
Lucy Kirkwood’s Tony-nominated play brings accountability and mortality to the forefront in this splendid and often very funny thought provoking work.
